National General Kennel Club of China launches its first events

Siberian Husky Specialty Shows - October 15 & 16, Beijing, China
Beijing All Breed Show - October 18 & 19, Beijing, China

The National General Kennel Club of China, the first client of AKC Global Services, held its first shows this past October. Utilizing the registration and event processing services from AKC Global Services, the NGKC events followed AKC standards and group alignment.

The first shows included two Siberian Husky specialties and an all-breed event. The events were well-attended by Chinese fanciers with close to 100 entries at each specialty and more than 400 entries in 55 breeds/varieties at the all-breed show.

NGKC demonstrated its commitment to the purebred dog community by offering a registration package that requires registrants to have a microchip, proof of current rabies vaccination, and a DNA profile on record. Additionally, NGKC launched a standardized set of dog show rules to be used for all NGKC events.

NGKC will continue its events with the upcoming Beijing Chow Chow specialty show in November 2008.
